 Postcard Registration

NTDO can supply the postcard registration form to anyone who needs to register. Or you can download the computer-generated form at www.voterinfonet.com.

Please Note: Anyone who uses the new postcard registration option must vote in person the first time he or she votes under the new registration; therefore, you cannot vote by absentee ballot in the next election if you register now by postcard.

 NEW for 2006: Early Voting

Beginning with the 2006 primary, registered Illinois voters are now allowed to cast ballots up to 22 days before Election Day without any excuse as required for absentee balloting (such as military duty, illness, disability, or out-of-town travel).

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT EARLY VOTING:

1. Unlike absentee voting, no excuse is required to vote in advance of the election.

2. Early voters will be required to present a current driver's license, state-issued identification card, or another government-issued ID card with a photograph.

3. Early votes cannot be modified after being cast if a voter changes his or her mind about a candidate.

4. For early-voting locations, visit voterinfonet.com. In general, local village/city halls will provide early voting.

5. Early voting on weekends may be made available at the County Clerk's office in Skokie, 5600 W. Old Orchard Rd, rm 149.
